G4; Film Opening Treatment

• Our film opening is going to begin with an establishing shot of a lake, possibly with an unidentified figure standing near to it
• This will cut to a shot of the female antagonist, whose face will be partially obscured by her hair, coming into the room and approaching the mirror.
• There will be a flashback to a struggle with CU shots less than a second long of flailing body parts such as hands and legs splashing in the shallow water
• The female antagonist will continue to do her makeup, get ready to leave the house in a fairly normal manner but these shots will be intercut with flashbacks to the murder, and the titles- i.e the names of the actors etc- will fade in and out in a thin, elegant font
• As she does her makeup in the mirror we see she has lots of pictures of various boys stuck to the mirror. She takes one of these and takes the mirror off the wall to hide the photo behind it. Some other pictures fall out from behind the mirror.
• Another flashback shows the head of the victim lolling to one side and we see that it is one of the boys in her photographs
• As she turns to look either directly into or straight past the camera, her face is fully revealed and the screen fades to black, and then the title of the film will come up.

• The characters of our film are going to be the young female antagonist and the young male character she has just killed, and there will be photos of other boys used to decorate her mirror, implying that she is a cold blooded serial killer and these are her previous victims
• We hope to use Dunorlan Park for our establishing shot of the lake and then later a pond for the CU shots of the struggle
• We hope to use one of our houses as a set for the scenes where the antagonist is getting ready to leave the house, however we haven't yet decided on exactly which one
